Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland and a hub of multiculturalism and diversity, but in some cases, the statistics mask a deeper underlying issue: Integration. Being surrounded by people of various ethnicities and backgrounds is one thing, building relationships with them is another.

One Glasgow was launched on the 1st of September 2021 as an initiative designed to help facilitate better integration of student communities with the City of Glasgow. Supported by some of Glasgow’s most experienced leaders, including the Lord Provost of Glasgow and the Vice-Chancellors of the Universities of Glasgow and Strathclyde, the Initiative ties in with the larger One Scotland Initiative, offering a unique opportunity to make a difference.

Developing a better mutual understanding through cultural exchange and immersion is at the heart of One Glasgow.

"This world of ours... must avoid becoming a community of dreadful fear and hate, and be, instead, a proud confederation of mutual trust and respect"

- Dwight D. Eisenhower
